Son had covid-19 last month and due to donate Plasma for his antibodies.

BUT... Thinks he's got tonsilitus or flu or something now as woke up feeling so rough , but went for a covid test this morning to rule out having caught the new strain with some work colleagues having tested positive for it over xmas.
Said last month when he went , the large carpark at the testing centre for people with symptoms was more or less empty and hardly anyone in getting tested. This time he struggled to get a parking bay and said a hell of a lot of people getting tests. The rate in his area has been pretty good up to now, being 85.9 highest up to a couple of weeks ago. This week suddenly shot up to 630.3 per 100,000 :o

They were in tier 2 before the latest review, but trainful of others from higher tiers were piling in to use their pubs and shops. Then on Dec 30th , the last day for their pubs to be open, the place went crazy with hoards of idiots getting their last night in before they moved to tier 3. No wonder it's escalating so rapidly :ohno:

Got my fingers crossed this test comes back negative for him . Knocked him about last time for a fortnight ( but at least he still has his sense of taste at the moment, he lost it completely when he tested positive last month.)

Try not to worry i'm sure he'll be ok!

Boris press conference at 8 about further restrictions.. (So let's call it 8.30 on boris time) as he's normally late like with everything else he does

Something to get excited about to start the week!

Scotland has the right idea, lock it down meanwhile boris is saying go back to school

Think I'm more worried the fact he's not had a day off sick in 6 years whilst he was on hourly pay , except for when he got the virus and took annual holiday to cover it .
Today was his second shift on salaried after getting promotion , being paid when off sick now. Makes it look as though he's taking advantage

Rumours that it'll be another lockdown

and guess what schools have to close?

Hold on you said send em all back yesterday?? really is a farce, no wonder this country is getting hit more than others

obviously will have to wait and see but yeah

Now you're just being ridiculous and looking for problems.

Today was safe for primary kids and all those they are in contact with.

Tomorrow will not be safe.

See, it's really quite simple and doesn't require all this fuss.

Yes, but a lot of the economy screwing is due to their mismanagement isn't it? By dragging it out so long.

I've just tried to print off my lateral flow test registration form for tomorrow morning only to find that my printer is out of ink.

It was ok the last time I used it, I thought, then I realised that I hadn't printed anything on it for about three years so hardly surprising that the ink had gone dry really.
Did your test go ok @Thehooperman ?

Rebooked mine for tomorrow now , seeing as son is feeling rough (he's pretty sure it's tonsilitus this time though) and we were with him last week.
Getting my Tesco click & collect on the way , well masked up, stocking up incase I'm grounded afterwards....

Loads and loads of appointment times available at the Kingston Centre, so looks like not much of a take-up this time.
