Weevils, if they are in the flour then check other packets of dried goods kept nearby, last year I found them in the flour and they had also migrated to my bags of open pasta.
Yep, the little ba**arms get everywhere. We had them in a not so old bag of flour. Chucked the flour out then found them shortly after in cereals & pasta. I can’t imagine how many we must have eaten:urgh::urgh: Once they’ve found a home the only way to get rid is Chuck the lot & clean the cupboard out. We keep bags of flour (even unopened ones) etc in a sealed airtight container now

Our were in opened, but resealed packets, it was only cos the minime spotted them in the pasta that we looked in the others pasta -& noodle packets. Hate to think if we had eaten any in the weeks beforehand. The flour that they originated from was only a few weeks old and we'll within its, sell by date.

Oooo-errrr :o Just googled it. Will be having nightmares about them now !
Going to attack the cupboards tomorrow and check everything else !
It was in one of those Homepride cardboard tubs with a plastic lid that sealed down . Will check the brand new bread flour which was in the same cupboard , but that was sealed up until the day after. But reading up on it, they can squeeze into the tiniest of crevices ..

The way to seek out these small mites in flour is the shake test. Place a small amount of flour in a shallow bowl and shake. If the granules stand up then you have an issue, as......weevils wobble but they don’t fall down.
The ones at christmas went straight in the bin. Will try that if I see any other specks in anything whilst attacking everything tomorrow.

That's tomorrows project sorted, instead of repeating the 10 miles walked today !

Conference calls or not , I won't be able to keep quiet if I find any. My screams will be heard around the world

Saw some crazy driving on my way to and back from Tesco Click & Collect. Including a car tootling slowly out of St. Leonards Ave , turning right across my path as I was about to go through my green lights, as though he'd got the right of way. Started doubting myself whether green still meant go...

Then met a bus straddled across the Cannock Road doing a 3 point turn . Must have been on auto pilot and forgot which route he was on

@littleme Has it got any better at work over the last couple of days with the new restrictions they have said they'll put in?
I was off on Monday and Tuesday, very little has changed, apart from security (plus 2 greaters) are stood at the door, they are 'supposed' to make sure customers have masks, and allowing only one person in from each household. However its not happening as the amount of abuse from customers about both masks and coming in together is dreadful. I put up with 2 hours of listening to it this morning, and I'm disgusted by people's behaviour.

Wow. I don't understand people - do they really know of no one who has had it or died?

We found out yesterday that my eldest son & his girlfriend now have contracted it.

Believe me, I was in no mood today to hear 'we all live together, why can't we come in together'? Most people completly ignored security and carried on in. Security are now worried that there is no 'Law' to stop couples & family's coming in, so are worried about prosecution, the same as staff. The verbal abuse is rediculous, noone should have to put up with this when all they are trying to do is to keep people safe.

If the 'security' guys aren't doing the job they're put there for the 'security' company shouldn't be getting paid.

I'm sorry, I hope they aren't too poorly.
1 is, 1 isn't.

They're both in their late 20's/early 30's. They are both usually fit & well with no underlying health issues. They regularly run 10k's (for fun!) , are both physically fit and have physical jobs.

But both have worked throughout covid for the same company, neither had symptoms when they were tested a week Tuesday, they only went as someone they had contact with tested posative.

They were fine with no symptoms till this weekend, when both became very ill very suddenly.

This can happen to anyone. Of all of my family, I expected it to be me who got ill (Im over 50, over weight, unfit & in a job where I'm in daily contact with lots of people). I never thought my kids would suffer like this.

Stay safe everyone.
