Bear hut brownies always seems to sell out. They also do commissions for businesses, birthdays etc. They were closed for an extended break recently as the owner had a baby but are now open again.

According to Google, they are open Thursday - Friday (10am-4pm), & Saturday (10am-4:30pm).

As far as I am aware, they close as soon as they've sold everything, so they could potentially only be open a few hours.

They also sell via their website and post the brownies to the buyers.
You can also order ahead for bear hut brownies.

5 Market Square, Stafford, home to Lloyds Bank

The substantial Grade II listed freehold bank, operating as Lloyds, in Stafford's Market Square is going under the hammer in the Acuitus commercial property auction on December 13.
The property has a guide price of £750,000.
It is opposite the Guildhall Shopping Center and includes a ground floor banking hall, mezzanine level with ancillary accommodation on the basement, first, and second floors with a total approximate floor area of 8,021 sq ft.
An extension to the lease was recently agreed through to June 2031 with the tenant paying an annual rent of £79,000.
Jon Skerry of Acuitus said: “This is a very handsome property in the heart of Stafford. Assets let to banks remain popular with investors, especially properties with historic value and potential for alternative use."
The auction starts at 1pm and will be broadcast via livestream on the Acuitus website with bidding online, by telephone and by proxy.

Halifax on Greengate Street is closing on 8th April 2024.

Looks like the Lloyds branch could be closing on November 13th 2024 too, but it isn't mentioned on Lloyds website, like it is on the Halifax site. Isn't the address also Market Square, not Greengate Street?

I dont often need a branch for my banking, I am with Halifax and my remortgage was carried out over Teams, but previously I was with Lloyds, when they split off I was placed with TSB, in Wolverhampton, so I moved to the Halifax instead. Not sure if I will move banks, as I prefer to have the potential to go into a branch, or just bite the bullet as this is 2023 and on the rare occasion I need a branch I can get in the car.

I look after my mum's account at Lloyds (via power of attorney) but you have to everything in branch and as the Stone branch is also closing, i guess i'll be changing her bank.

That's Halifax. The list is split up. Halifax, Lloyds, Bank Of Scotland.

Didn't know we had Bank Of England branches either (the list title is wrong on the link). 😂

Either that or a day out in Rugeley or Cannock !
Or head north to Newcastle, Longton etc.

No thought of course of moving into a small unit a tiny fraction of 8,021 sq ft. that would be perfectly adequate nowadays.

Not sure if they are better than a big Rolls Royce?

Just because the landlord has put the building up for auction doesn't mean Lloyds are leaving/closing.

The same building was actually sold by the same auctioneers in 2015 for I believe £1,330,000.
