But then someone else dredges, then someone else further downstream dredges and so on until there's no more floods.Dredging just moves the flood onto someone else.
I took the precaution of recording the impressive Lidl poplar before it succumbed to 'progress'.

Haughton lane is virtually clear today.Quite a few new potholes appeared under the water. Was a bit hairy Tuesday evening, that’s got to be the worst I’ve ener seen it.And detouring through Church Eaton can get you stuck. I met a man whose BMW SUV (still not really made for this weather) had been stuck for 5 hours yesterday.
Yes, no problems. (as of about 5 hrs ago)Has anyone travelled from Penkridge to Pottal Pool Roundabout over the past couple of days? Is it passable?
Thank you very much. That will make life a lot easier next week.Yes, no problems. (as of about 5 hrs ago)
It's only for 15 months, on a very quiet stretch of road, so I doubt anyone will notice any disruption at all.Looks like major roadworks start on beaconside end of January for 15 months. We shall see
It's converting Beaconside in a dual carriageway to Marston Lane. Completely reconfiguring the layout for Redhill roundabout including adding traffic lights (and crossings on Stone Road and Beaconside).Looks like major roadworks start on beaconside end of January for 15 months. We shall see
Part of Highways' longstanding plan to ensure traffic flows equally smoothly across Stafford. Why does Marston Grange need three traffic light junctions? Especially two on the same road 340 metres apart.
More like roundabouts without traffic lights.I get the impression there's an aversion to roundabouts in Stafford due to all the wide loads that need to be transported from Alstom. They would need to be very large roundabouts, often with a centre bypass lane.
Roundabouts with traffic lights 1 car length away from the roundabout exit.....flipping stupidMore like roundabouts without traffic lights.
