Did WW2 realy result in lower beer sales? All the war films i've seen have John Mills knocking it back like there's no tomorrow. In fact he was so keen on getting his alco ration he was seen in the uniforms of all of the armed services....

I don't recall a film where he was in the ATS. Do you have a copy? I would be interested to see that.

Really? He's the sole surviving cast member from Round the Horne, you know. Even if he wasn't in the last series.

All is revealed - of course the late John Mills wasn't in Round the Horne - but who can forget Alan Ladd appearing in one episode of Much Binding in the March?

just coming back on track, it was Tom Wardrop at the Tavern. I used to vist loads of pubs during my late darts league matches but can I remember the Baskeyvilles at the Shrew! When I first started league darts Bert Daly ran the Coach, if you tended to toe the oche on the right during the winter months you needed asbestos trousers because of the open fire.
