Cuffy/Skill - Stafford customer service thread - Stafford retailers reports.

Can't be much fun delivering with the roads the way they are. I would imagine that with the volume of home deliveries going out the weather has caused a massive backlog.

    Ye Older Rose & Crown

I think that's the model for places like Verso Lounge going for a mixed clientele. I read an article on the opening of the Little George in Eccleshall which said they were advertising as a brew house, not just the traditional beer aspect but also brewing coffee as well. As you say investment...

    Ye Older Rose & Crown

Whilst I was enjoying a very nice pint in there recently a couple came in and asked for a wine and a coffee. The reply from the landlord was that he could do make up a mug of coffee but hadn't got a coffee machine. Ok there is limited space behind the bar there but I think they are missing a...

ASDA introducing Pay and display parking

Give it time, Aldi hasn't opened yet and I expect the car park to get much busier then.

    New stores in the guildhall

The Calendar Club stall has been set up for it's annual 3 month stint again. The centre doesn't feel as empty as it did but it should repair the mesh grille that is permanently down at the entrance off Market Sq.

    New stores in the guildhall

I have never asked my wife how much her haircut/highlights cost as I imagine I would be saying "How Much!!" It pains me to pay over a tenner for a haircut and normally go to one of the barbers over Rugeley who charge around £8. Saying that I tried the Barber in the Market a couple of weeks ago...

Stafford shops closing - Turning into a ghost town?

Whilst I agree with you, the problem is that at £58,000 p/a rent and all the rates etc. I suspect that this out prices independents and if no other chain comes to take on the lease we will be left with another empty unit.

    Baswich Lane Capacity Improvements

As been said before Baswich Lane over the bridges is not fit for purpose and if it wasn't for the fact that that route relieves the A34 down Radford Bank there would be further restrictions on the route. Yet the councils shy away from straightening the lane to meet up with the Beaconside...

    Stafford Makers Market

I'm trying to think an alternative for you to go to. The National Trust properties are still open (Attingham near Shrewsbury is very good). Lichfield as you may well know is good. Cosford Air Museum is good on a wet day (good any day infact!)

Stafford Cinema - ups & downs.

WARNING OLD JOKE ALERT! A woman goes into a sex shop and asks for a sex toy. "Certainly Madam, as you see they come in all colours, shapes and sizes." said the shop owner pointing to the shelves behind him. "I'll have the large tartan one." said the woman. "Sorry Madam, That's my Thermos Flask!"...

    Leave or Remain?

As certain people on here would rather insult and swear at people who have opinions other than theirs then what's the point in responding. I'll leave you to agree with each other in your echo chamber.

Where to buy mens suits in Stafford

I remember back in the 80's when still living at home in Wolverhampton taking my Mom round all the menswear shops as she was buying me a suit for my 18th birthday. We must have spent all day going round the High street chain shops (Topman, Burtons, Fosters!) and the numerous independent menswear...
