On Monday heard someone reply to a child's question of what they are doing - Well instead of being busy fixing the roads they are busy fixing something that didn't need fixing in the first place. Other than questioning the use of the word 'busy' I couldn't have agreed more.

Went in Millets today and a bunch of leaflets on the counter for the Stafford 10K 2023 - apparently 24th September. Followed the web address mentioned which re-directs to Freedom-Leisure. Their page essentially says "watch this space" with no mention of the date. Suspect numbers could be low as...

Scrolling list of finishers I think there were only about 1800, didn't there used to be closer to 3000? In which case it's a worrying trend for its future. Also no same day emails for the 10k that usually arrive.

Well done! 2h03m40s for me. Not enough training and went off too fast. Sub 1h50 last time so a bit disappointed with myself.

Agree c0ttont0p, was queueing for medium when queue suddenly vanished and was told small, extra large or extra extra large. I know the medal ribbon shows a chippy as a sponsor but I'm not going to eat that many and it hardly promotes a healthy lifestyle. Felt sorry for all those still running...

Agree about the 10k route last year, park session wasn't the best.

Long time away from the Forum but running the Half again this year (subject to the weather not cancelling it). End of the new route looks a bit of a mess with a switchback likely to cause problems? Anyone else running it / thoughts on the course changes?

Had a look at the plans for North Stafford last night which includes Sports Pitches, perhaps a better home for the Rugby Club?

As you may have read/seen more Services were removed from Stafford over the weekend so what we have now is less A&E and more than a walk in centre (but hey it'll double in size). The Shugborough Ward was expected to close in March but now looks to have been put back until May - We must continue...
