I'm very pissed off and wondering whether anyone's able to advise me. :grr:

I'm in a situation whereby i need to take my ex-letting agency to the small claims court, as they owe me nearly £900 which they deny. I've spoken to the CAB, and am going for some free legal advice tomorrow pm, but has anyone on here been through the small claims court before? I have all the relevant paperwork proving what payments were made, and when, but i could do with speaking to someone who's already been thru the process.

For the record, the agency is BELVOIR LETTINGS, and even before this situation i would not have recommended them to anyone. It took them 2-3 months to fix my cooker when i first moved in. Dunno about you, but having a functioning cooker is a) essential, and b) a legal requirement as far as my tenancy agreement was concerned. I'm sure most agencies are slack in certain areas, but Belvoir suck generally. You have been warned.

Any advice would be much appreciated :)

I know Adrian Goldberg who does BBC Watchdog. I also know the consumer editor on the Birmingham Mail - she's always on the look out for rogue businesses to exploit.

Noone is worse than NTL. These guy's are utter scum and wouldn't know customer service if it bit them in the boswolox! :grr:

If we're on a rant, then avoid at all costs BFC and Books for Children both equally appalling in their 'customer service', that is they don't have any.

It's Matt Allwright, and i don't think he can help me! Anyways, I went to the free legal advice clinic @ Frisby & Co yesterday arvo, and got exaclty the answers i was looking for. Am sending more letters today, and if I don't receive payment in full within 7 days then i'm taking them to the small claims court. Will cost me about 80 squid, but when i win they have to pay me back. Schweet. Cheers peeps :)
