County woodware was just up the road a bit to the right, much to Dave Sutherlands dismay I would think lol.
County 'Woodware'! Dave used to brag that after a 'rukas' he and Ian didn't have far to walk into work.
Great to hear my uncles are well remembered! :D

Just requested and got membership myself, added one photo. Just looking at the old photo's, swear I can remember the smell of The 'Grot'!

come on folk, you must have some pictures that you could add. It's a great site with loads of memories. Whatever school you went to, add your pictures. There are people who would love to see them.

got loads but not sure how to upload on to facebook
Hi sandonia,

You don't need to upload them to Facebook if you don't want to, you can put them right here in this thread on The Forum!

Just hit Reply like you would in the normal way, then click the Post an image link that is in the Useful Links box on the left-hand side of your screen. A new window will open. Register there with a username and password, then follow the instructions for uploading a picture.

Once you have uploaded the picture, that site will automatically show you the text that you need to make the picture appear in the Forum thread. Just select it, copy it, then paste it in here! It will look something like this:

Just copy the whole line from the Imagebank site, including the

It's not just about the town but about the people in it too. The times the photo's were taken are not up to date ones and it's memories of all sorts of folk. The photo's are either of Stafford or Stafford people.

I second that emotion.
I know it's unlikely, but my dream for Stafford Forum is for one day it to become the "de facto" source of information on the silly little County Town that we all know and love. For that reason, I would always encourage people to post stuff here first, and then secondary social media sites, should they want to. :)

Toble has been instrumental in this by providing an image host for people to upload their pictures. If anyone needs help with the Stafford Forum Imagebank, I'm sure he'd be happy to help!

My link was never meant to be in competition with the forum as I am a big fan of the forum and have advertised this on the facebook page I thought we could work together but obviously I was mistaken. I am happy for you to delete the link.

Mrs M, I'm not sure how you got that impression from my post! I wasn't referring to your original post at all or complaining about you pointing people towards a Facebook group - we even have our own one so it would be a bit daft of me to discourage people from using it. :P

I was simply following up on my comment to sandonia, where I was explaining how one can upload photos here, and I was saying that it would be lovely if one day Stafford Forum was an archive of times of Stafford gone by. :)

Not at all! Why on earth would I want to do that? The Facebook page is great. :)
