If you can't come in, try to pick one out with the whole stem and base. Cut through the base of the stem and if it discolours yellow, then you have a yellow stainer. This is the only poisonous mushroom of the Agaricus mushrooms.

Stainers but Hugh Wittingbum says as long as they are cooked Ok.

I rubbed them and they stained cut through the base but colour was a yellow tinge.

Anyway found a supply of damsons and beat the squirrel to cobnuts.
