It's a shame we still haven't got an official Stafford FM representative on The Forum, so I appreciate you taking the time to get involved personally, MarkyD. You're a credit to the station. :)
Thanks for the kind words sir!

There have been a few points made about reception of 87.7 Stafford Fm and where you should be able to receive the station.

As a Restricted Service Licence holder we are only allowed a low power transmitter with a limited height above ground for our broadcast antenna, if we are able to secure a full time community radio licence our transmission power would be able to be much higher and we could also look at alternative transmission sites for wider coverage.

If you would like to view our 'predicted' coverage map from before our launch - it can be seen here

We are getting many reports of reception much wider afield - from Lichfield / Wednesbury in the south to Tunstall and Newcastle-under-lyme in the north... these are however well outside our expected area.

There were another few posts about our technical set-up - some views of Studio One can be found here

Studio's Two and Three are currently still in construction (and Studio One isnt yet finished)...

And finally a nice atmospheric shot of our transmission mast taken as we switched it on last Thursday night..

I said "If they hit someone with their ambulance, would they have to call a REAL ambulance to come and help?"

They then decided to lodge a complaint.

I'm a bit of a liability with a live microphone.

Really enjoying listening to Stafford FM - now that it is available on FM (hopefully to stay!?).

Just listening to the Rangers commentary, also enjoying Stu Haycock's late night show and Rob's coverage for BTTF square on Saturday was very entertaining!

Keep up the good work guys - you're doing a great job for the town!

May i echo the sentiments of the above, and ask what progress there may be on a 'listen again' sort of thing - especially with regard to the Jake 'n' Eric local music show?

Hi guys once again I'm so pleased you are all enjoying Stafford fm. We are fighting to get a full time licence these will be coming up in 2013, so not long now. We will keep doing fm trails untill then. As soon as I know anymore info I will let you all know first.

Listen again our tech team are working on this. It's not ready yet but when it is I'll let you know.

Cheers

Big thanks to everyone for their excellent feedback on The Comedy Club's outside broadcast last week! This week we're back inside with chairs and heating and a kettle! Yay!

Guests on The Comedy Club this week will be Stafford comedian and Japanophile (well, Nipponophile) Jay Hoare / Jay Edwards, the man affectionately known as "The Guv'nor" of the West Midlands Comedy Scene Dave Dinsdale and we'll also have an appearence by the other-half of JUICE Comedy Mr. Neil Reading.

We'll also have clips and excerts from some truly great comedians, as well as chat, banter and general nonsense. The Comedy Club between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on 87.7 FM or via the website staffordfm.com
