the abandoned Rover at Asda petrol station

Does anyone know about this? It seems to have been there for over a month. I know there was a little note stuck on it and now there is a large note stuck on it but there's always loads of people at the pumps when I go and I don't want to look too nosey investigating what it says. I'm sure there are plenty of other people on here who have more self confidence than me though! It just seems a strange place for someone to have abandoned it! If indeed it is abandoned...

If it's a disposal notice then usually they only get 7 days to remove the vehicle I think. Been to Asda plenty of times but I've failed to notice it.

About 5 years ago someone dump a car (a metro i think) down by the recycling skips. It was there for about 4 months, and only had 3 wheels.

It belongs to a chap who took henryscat's advice and decided to walk.

There used to be the nose of a Vulcan in a front garden in Burntwood.

English Electric Lightning!
There was a Lightning simulator at Akrotiri, made from the front of an engine fire casualty. The projector for the image in front of the windscreen was a three-colour spinning disc arrangement - along the lines of the Baird system - the only use of this system in a colour context that I am aware of. I had a couple of goes in it and flew it successfully through a tree after a failed approach.

And it's probably Shackleton for me - from RAF planes.

Well, it beats driving a Rover....
I don't think any right-minded person could argue with that...
Depends on your starting point, I don't own a car so a rover would be a step up however you looked at it.

It was abandoned but will be removed on the 5th apparently.
Thank you! You're first and only post (thus far) and it was the only useful post in this thread! Welcome to the forum! Looks like I only have one more day to be nosey and go and actually look at the sign in the windscreen (unless someone else wants to :))
