I visted my mums memorial on xmas eve.....the flowers i planted around her tree were dug up and missing (this wasnt the first time but i didnt think a lot into it) until today - I left some red roses attached below the tree, when i went up today for her birthday they were clean gone!!
Everybody elses is still there - except for the 4 trees around my mums! They are all empty and a bowl that was below the tree next to my mums which had planted flowers in was upturned empty!
Just wondering if anybody else here has had a problem with flowers dissapearing off memorials?

Hi saw your post and thought I better reply. My friends mother was upset as she had the same problem but at eccleshall road crem. She was devistated only to return one day and watched while rabbits ate her flowers she left. She thought it was someone but it was actually rabbits eating them. Maybe the case?

So sorry Miss Red to read your post, it must of been upsetting. My mothers ashes are beside a tree about 50' in front of the crem doors and it looked liked about 7 holes had been dug.We commented on would a fox or the like have been about but not sure.

I would too suggest contacting the council about this it looks there is a disturbing theme going here.

Rabbits often make little holes called scrapes - i can't find a good picture of what they look like to link to - digging down to eat roots. They can often be quite big, so it could be bunnies.

We had a problem with the person that looks after the grass - my young lad left a little plane and after a few days it was broken - the flower pot was also a mess and turned over.

I replaced the plane and it happened again, I've been told that when they cut the grass with a strimmer it sometimes catches ornaments on top, especially if they are not watching what they are doing.

The flowers i planted in the summer have all gone - but the ones i put down xmas eve, were wrapped in cellophane, so i doubt whether it was a furry animal, and when i went up 3 days later on 28th they were gone!

I might have a word with the council when they open back up - as it does seem that its my mums tree and the four surrounding ones.

Someone was telling me that something odd went on in essex a couple of months ago - flowers and stuff were dissapearing from a grave, the people put a cctv camera on there and when they checked they found an old lady had been going round randomly collecting up stuff! It was their childs grave too!
