It looks like the cashback kicked back in today, this makes these little beauties a steal. At idle they use just 35w of power, I'm only drawing 54w for this and a gigabit router plus a small light in the attic. It does all my downloads for me, it knocks the crap out of a normal NAS box.

Ebuyer put it up to £260 now, but amazon still costs the same.

If anyone is thinking about getting a decent NAS they should look at this instead, 4 hot swap bays and a decent CPU (well, for a NAS!)

They are great little machines, mines been running 24/7 since September. Probably needs more ram if you want to run virtual machines, but I'm running windows 7 on mine and it's fine.

How are you finding it? I can't find another for close to what the £50 payoff will get you back, so I guess it depends how much you need it if you'd return and hope for another offer. I love mine, sits in the attic doing all my slightly dodgy stuff for me so its all waiting each day when I get home. Sickbeard especially is amazing, gets all my TV shows without me asking. I'm wishing I'd got something with a bit more grunt, as transcoding to my android stick is a bit glitchy at times, but I'm in the process of converting all my media into a streamable format anyway so that will fix the problem.
