They were a top act - saw them a few times - even once in Oswestry. We spooked a couple of coppers by walking around the town in our fezzes, this was early on and they were improvised from plastic flower pots at that stage. I offered to swap headgear with the youngest copper and he was on the point of agreeing when the sergeant intervened, presumably (and rightly) worried that I might make off with the helmet, leaving them with just a flower pot and very little excuse....

Quick note - talked about this earlier in the week whilst on funerary excursions...

To anybody out there that out-lives me, and is in a positi0n to press my 'beyond the grave' demands, if nothing else this is what i want. I love this song and demand that whoever mourns me listen to it.
