Examples of poor driving you have witnessed!

At around 8:15 this morning on the A449 in Rising Brook. A van with 2 very young children being driven by an adult who looked old enough to be their Grandad. Kids too young/small for their seatbelts, driver with a fag in his gob and Radio 1 or some similar music source blaring out through the open window. For gods sake, aren't the other offences bad enough without subjecting these poor innocent passengers to such shite music!

there are 2 points in stafford that wind me up -

1) the tesco garage on wolverhampton road - if you're coming from silkmore lane turning right onto wolverhampton road, loads of people go through the traffic lights then see the red light intended for people headed north along wolvo road and STOP. and hold the whole road up. thats not even countering in the ridiculous garage setup there. no wonder theres so many crashes round that way!

2) the big roundabout called the ISLAND... where people drive from A34 round by the old folks home and join the roundabout. I always see people driving through red lights there (when I'm on the roundabout wanting to head south on wolvo road) and I nearly have been hit from the left far too many times. Last time I saw it the lady even drove through the next set of reds opposite TKmaxx. She was probly thinking about shoes or handbags or something. stupid women drivers ;)

Not so much bad driving but still so annoying - followed a taxi driver along Queensway who continually threw his litter out of the window. Got his number plate but couldn't see who he was working for. He had a yellow plaque on the side of his vehicle but couldn't see the name.

Ok, so hypothetically, if a woman and some spaniels were trying to get to the Chase from the direction of Radford Bank, what the heck should she do at all those roundabouts?

No combination of lanes seem to keep you out of people's way. Not a problem on the Chase in the pouring rain this evening. We didn't get in anyone's way at all up there. Not a soul.

Ohhhh...LEFT lane first. I'll try that next time. It felt as if that lane ought to be for people heading towards Weston Road.

Left lane for all people heading for the second roundabout* - right lane for Cannock Road.

* then left lane for Baswich Lane, right lane for Weeping Cross (Lichfield Road).

Thank-you. And apologies, hypothetically, to anyone who may have witnessed poor driving in that area this evening.

Hmmm me too, right lane - right lane to Milford common....

No, no, nooooo...

Think about it, you are approaching a roundabout where there are two lanes and two exits... stands to reason left lane is for first exit (to the second roundabout) and right lane is for second exit (Cannock) :)

I hate the roundabout at Gailey. It splits into three lanes. Left hand lane for left turn to A5 only. Middle lane for straight on to slow lane of dual carriageway A449 only. Right hand lane for straight on to the fast lane dual carriageway A449 or right turn A5.

The amount of people who think the left hand lane can be used to go straight on makes me amazed there hasn't been more accidents there. I saw a bloody learner do it the other day- their instructor should be shot.

Enjoying a drop of red.

I think this is at the nub of a lot of driving issues. An increasing proportion of driving instructors seem incapable of leading by example. One wonders if knowledge of the Highway Code is optional when they take their qualifications...

Extraordinary one just now. Volvo pulled up next to me at Lammascote lights, as they were red - then just drove off through them, still red, causing some consternation to the chap with the green light going across - only to find me next to him again at the next red lights.

I do hope that someone was watching.
