Anybody had any experience?

Reviews on amazon aren't gushing for most. I want a solar power that works well but it doesn't seem that they exist.

I'll take a AA battery powered if anyone has recommendations?

TBH I wouldn't touch any of those. I have a decent rechargable pack at home that does my S3 about 3 times, but it cost a bit. Saying that its a few years old now, so maybe they've dropped in price. I'll have a look.

Thanks for that, I have found someone at work who has something similar so I am going to trial that first. It's only for a weekend's use and then it will probably sit in my sock drawer until I throw it out in 3 years time

Coincidentially, been shown a 'Tecknet' external battery pack today. Looks well trick, charge it up beforehand and it does about three phone charges (sounds a bit like Teks gizmo). £20.00 ish on e-bay apparantly.

When I was in New York a few weeks back, they had solar powered charger stations dotted around the city. A bit of a distance to go if you're caught short but I dare say that the U.K will follow suit shortly. No doubt the Government here will try to find a way to charge (no pun intended) for the usage.
