I have been told there was another massive fight at the Westway last Thursday, now it is closed lets hope the idiots don't fine there way to a decent pub.

I doubt closing a pub will stop them somehow, they will just do it somewhere else. Usually the next closest place.

To put a little balance to this I used to pop into the westway for a few beers after work most Friday early evenings. Ok the place was a hole but generally it was ok. It's a shame it's shut down but I'm not surprised.

Anyway I will probably make the 20 min walk into town to my favourite pub (The Sun) from now on so not a massive loss. To be honest it's probabley a blessing in disguise.

Never the less with a slight tounge in cheek, RIP the westway, you gave me many a good (ok mediocre) time!

Nice touch telling people it will close on the Saturday, then boarding it up on the Friday morning. It probably prevented a Viking Funeral.

Still open at the moment, the lease was up for sale but the boards have gone now and the same people are still in there.
