I installed a bit of software last week called networx, to enable logging of my network traffic. It killed my server, took me hours to get right again! So, has anyone got anything that works? Its mainly for monitoring my plex server, so ideally I'd like it to log all data transfers including the IP of the other side, give me easy access to spot peaks in activity and record the data in a way I can interrogate later.
When I get my new microserver I'm toying with running a software router/firewall that will enable a bit more control over the whole network, but this will work for now just logging the plex server.
