But it is getting the better of us. Need a garden/landscape designer who is used to working with hills.

Have you considered building a series of terraces. A nice dry stone wall could used as a retaining wall. The stone will cost around £60 per stone and then you need to find a labourer who will charge £35-50 per metre of wall. A 15 metre long dry stone wall would therefore cost you in the region of £7000 but would look fabulous.
As a cheaper alternative you could use oak beams or old railway sleepers.

Birthday party for spawn 3's classmate done and dusted, she had a wonderful time and I got to finally meet all of the parents in her class. That's the thing with her being bussed in non of us ever meet.
My diet has had a horrible bashing and I could badly use a drink tonight, but I'm going to try to resist....

I've only smoked about 5 cigs all day compared to my usual 30 or 40!!

Wowser.....how much does that cost?

Are they £7 a packet now?

So a tenner a day......£70 - £100 a week..

And £300 a month.

That would pay for a family holiday in 3 or 4 months.

Aren't reformed smokers really sanctimoniuous and irritating?

Just been to the vet as wounds not healing. Got stronger/different antibiotics and more painkillers to try over easter.
If they arn't healing after that then we will will have to try something else.

How's Harley doing after the weekend? Hope the new antibiotics have helped and he's healing up

Find it MOST unfair that MY car insurance has gone up 12% on renewal just because someone drove into the side of me, admitted full liability as they didn't look ,and their insurance coughed up. :(

Unfortunately, it's called a "no-claims" bonus for a reason. Even though it's not your fault you have still made a claim.

Insurance companies have you by the unmentionables whatever happens.

Indeed. Even if you have paid for no claims bonus protection they will find a way of putting a loading on the policy under another name.

It's called a scam which the law says we all have to play along with (except for the scum who can't be bothered, in which case the rest of us have to bail them out by paying extra).

When I queried it ,as I've always took out the guaranteed no claims protection , I was told I still have the full 79.5% discount. Just now 79.5% discount off the raised price and 'it's a thing all insurers do, blame or no blame' .

I assume you immediately looked elsewhere? Insurance always goes up every year, yet oddly if you shop around it often goes back to what it was.

Think this phone is the safer option in future!
