I don't know, but informed by a reliable source that they are moving up to north end of Stafford (might have said 'by' second avenue?? ) ....... said that the present buildings aren't big enough now .

The following businesses are all closing in Salter Street when their lease end :
Cooks, Halpins, Knits & Needles.
All 3 will be gone, leaving Salter Street pretty barren.

Just read on this on another site, after someone said they had paid a deposit and the mobile number no longer exists...........
'I heard he died:/ but the furniture exchange in town in guildhall own it go in and explain and see what they can do x'
And what's the guess that they will re open as thrift shops, eh up, we have no barnardo's, YMCA or marie curie

Auto Aids on the Wolverhampton road is up for sale (well the building it's in anyway).
Not sure how long they've been there, but must be a good few decades.

They were certainly there in '83 when I had some bits off them - and they weren't 'brand new' at that point...
..they had settled on the name before Aids took on its new meaning..

C. Herbert (washing machine repairs/vacuum cleaner spares etc) in Castletown is due to close quite soon. I believe the whole plot, including the car park, will be up for sale. Not sure about the little office to the right of it.

Another real shop going - very few left now...

Spouting nonsense since the day I learned to talk
Truview was still shut today. Talked today to someone who runs a shop in Mill Street, the word on the street is that Truview has gone completely. The shop has been removed from some of its suppliers websites and Truview's own website is still down.
