Couture, ignorance of management/assault by toilet attendant

How much are you expected to tip these toilet attendants?

n.

Well enough that they don't beat you up obviously.

It depends on what they actually do and how posh the place is I suppose. Loose change is usually all that is required but if it's one of those seriously upmarket loos where you get proper towels then about 50p or £1 if one is feeling "flush" (see what I did there?" )

I don't know when the phrase "going to spend a penny " was first coined but inflation has taken is toll.

I don't think that I have ever seen a toilet attendant.

The only person that I know who's ever been sprayed in a toilet is now 84 - and it happened in the bogs at the Poly when Rat Scabies, the drummer in the Damned, accidentally pissed on his foot.

Simon, I apologise if it seemed that I was making light of your situation.

For what it's worth (my opinion) I do like to tip when I have received good service but even if someone chooses not to tip at all then it is no excuse for anyone to resort to violence.

I rather feel that this thread as derailed a little bit.....you and your friends were treated very shabbily, and for the venue to not take this seriously is very unprofessional.

If I were you I would contact the Newsletter.

It's ok I just wanted to shame them a little on Facebook and the forum, I've asked my friend about the newsletter and he doesn't want me to go the newsletter because he thinks that they will come knocking on his door for a story so I'm respecting his decision. It's only a bit of chit chat on the forum and everything is taken with a pinch of salt. It doesn't matter how much bad publicity we give them you will still get idiots going to the venue, my main issue is with the manager.
