Can we also do examples of poor parking?

Putting the child to bed and this lady decides to park here...... there is ample room outside the front of the house or over the road or in fact in front of our other car...

Ah YPLAC. I regularly contribute to its Twitter feed.

Tesco is the best place to see poor parking. Usually by Audi, BMW and Mercedes drivers but VW drivers are getting as bad.

Audi drivers have been statistically proven to be the worst parkers in the UK.

I like Audi's Q3 is my favourite car! looks like the 'money' drivers the worst then at parking

proactive

Enjoying a drop of red.
Not bad parking per Se, but a sensible precaution taken by any any sane person on the end of a row to stop getting the car dinged by careless door openers.

Yep, agree with that. If there's an opportunity to distance oneself from the inevitable careless morons, without inconveniencing anyone else, as in these three pics that bbw has posted, then fair enough.

Yeah, these are fair enough. They're not taking two spaces as nobody can park in the chevron zone anyway*.

You also never know if there was a poorly parked vehicle next to them that has left.

*not always the case as I've witnessed at Tesco with some people who can't be arsed to walk an extra couple of metres!

Most of the tesco pictures could easily have been of my car. The end spaces are favourites as you can park well over to one side and help protect your car from dinks. This is no different than not parking near trolley bays, not parking next to cars with child seats in them, not parking next to cars that look unloved, not parking in very narrow spaces..... etc
If you've worked hard to buy a nice car then you want to look after it, what's wrong with that?

It's laziness and thinking that you have a right not to park properly.

I can guess that people don't do this where Parking Wardens patrol otherwise they will get a ticket.

I'm guessing that's aimed at me? Obviously you've not had your vehicle dented by a careless two@ in a 4x4 who appears to use the car parked next to them as a bump stop?
Actually I've had more than my fair share of dented doors over the years. I even had some stupid woman open her door onto my car when I was sitting in it. Got out, gave her a bollocking and she just shrugged her shoulders and drove off.
