Where to get good quality tyres in Stafford, or nearby

I'm late replying but I've used County Tyres ever since they opened probably 20 years ago. I'd never use anyone else.

I get all of my tyres done by the bloke at the rear of the old Stone Rd petrol station. Quality part-worns that are usually like new and I only ever pay around £20 to £30 a tyre.

I always go to Stafford Tyres. I've been going there for a number of years now. I am very particular about my tyres and I always choose quality / safety over cost. Having said that, the tyres are reasonably priced.

I had a friend who thought that buying re-moulds was a better option than buying budget tyres or part worns. Eeeyjit!

My reason for buying the part worns isn't just about the cost. Alot of part worns are decent brand named tyres taken from company cars that replace their tyres routinely. As their cars go up and down a lot of motorways, they tend to do less braking / skidding than a car that just drives about town and therefore they usually still have very decent tread depth.

1. Saving money, 2. getting a decent brand tyre and 3. Doing my bit for the environment too.

Try Queensway retail park on a foggy night. Should get a nice set of wheels and tyres for the price of a few dozen house bricks :shifty:

Stafford tyres used to be the cheapest, but we recently found that the new MrTyre place was cheaper. We got a pair of Hankook tyres for a very good price (like how much they would have cost mail order).

I've been nursing a slow puncture in a rear tyre for a few weeks and decided it ought to be fixed before a long journey is attempted. However, judging by how hard it was to get out, I was probably safe for a bit...

The front tyres were getting towards borderline, too, so a visit to County Tyres has just been completed and all is well again.

I got mine a while ago from HI-Q. I phoned around lots of different places both in and out of Stafford. I then asked Hi-Q to beat my best price and that's what they did. Great service too.
