Black Eyed Child returns to haunt Cannock Chase

Can't help but be sceptical about this seeing as the guy who "saw" the girl runs his own paranormal website.

Not looking for page hits at all.

Enjoying a drop of red.
Clearly it's just a load of bull intended to cut down on the amount of people who go dogging there of an evening.

Anyone who seriously believes this kind of stuff must be a nutter (I think that is the PC term for it, but could be wrong).

Seeing as we are coming up to all hallow's eve here's another strange story from the local area :strange: Video on link.

In 1954, a Ranton woman, near Stafford, told the Express & Star that she and her two children had been terrified by a flying saucer, carrying 'two long-haired human-like creatures'.
The machine landed in the garden, she stated.
When she heard a noise like a crashing aircraft, yesterday, Mrs Jessie Roestenburg, of isolated Vicarage Farm, ran out into the garden.
She found her two children lying prostrate and terrified.
Above the children was a huge, saucer-like object with a dome, the front part of which was transparent, she stated.
Staring at the children from the machine were two 'unsmiling, human-like creatures, with long faces and long hair'.
She told our reporter that she ran to the back of the house in fright. The objected moved over the house, hovered for about 15 seconds, and then shot off at high speed.
"The boys were so terrified that they would not go out again last night," she said. "The dog was no-where to be seen. I think it must have bolted."

In June of this year, the vicar of nearby Seighford, the Rev Cedric Wright, reported seeing a flying saucer over the vicarage at about midnight.

Has anyone considered that there may be a stag running around with a pair of eyeballs stuck on the end of it's antlers somewhere, and a poor child looking for guidance back home as it can't see? :haw:

Can I please point out that the kid's bodies were not found on Cannock Chase, but at Mansty Gully, which is half way twixt Huntington and Penkridge?

As for oddness on the chase... the Piper, the Ravening Beast (later revealed to be Collymore), the Big Cat (which I saw back in '94), mutilated deer carcasses (re:big cat), the various UFO sighting (including the '93 "Lights in the Sky"*), and the '96 Cone Circle*.

*Um, well.

'94 was the same year I saw the big cat too Toble. The only people who believe me though were also there with me. Never seen anything since then though.

Yes it's the one on the A5. over recent years it seems to have been closed quite often. I seem to remember that one of the landlords died there as well.

oh right,

I used to drive past it pretty much every day. Always did look a bit on the spooky/freaky side.....the place could potentially be a tourist attraction for those that like ghost hunting....stay the night in a haunted building?

nice lil earner perhaps?
