strange hearing stafford all over the national news channels, radio 1, etc.. really hope everyone is ok, but two people "unaccounted for" doesn't sound good :hmm:

woah, excellent spot! View attachment 1153
Just heard it on Planet Rock news... Was like, "Yeah! Something IMPORTANT's happened in Stafford!" and then - why is it that Stafford is only known for shit things like the hospital 'scandal', this massive fire and having a famous sexual abuser in our prison?

My attention was drawn last night to the injured having to be transported to Stoke despite this explosion taking place in the shadow of S̶t̶a̶f̶f̶o̶r̶d̶ County Hospital. The thought of these poor souls having to endure being shunted through Staffords road block network and traffic jams and on up to Stoke is not pleasing. :(

Additionally

"A 53-year-old man arrested in connection with the incident has been released from custody and will face no further action."

I hope the rest of their investigation proves fruitful. Industrial areas usually have plenty of CCTV right ?

Edit: snap.

Police will do their duediligence upon the cause of the investigation, this could easily be an accident or electrical fault, hope so.

I hope maryland is embarrassed by the comment regarding being disappointed that finding the town was only partially on fire. Some should engaged their grey matter before such idiot remarks.

my those 2 people rest in peace.

Retsof, police have released the man and treating him a witness. Not someone who started anything. Quite likely the man who came from wolverhampton and was leaving the scene after a purchase, as cleverly linked by someone on here.

Was gonna say, that seemed unusual age 53, hadn't seen updates, just heard about 53 year old getting arrested

With the fire starting within working hours just before 5 i consider it a long shot that somebody would have started it deliberatley. Usually arsonists or vandals do it at night under the cover of darkness rather than during business hours on a busy industrial estate with loads of witnesses. It has to be an accidental fire surely.

If anyone wants to speculate why not do it in the comfort of your own lounge or snug - writing it in a public place can make you look inconsiderate
