It might be worth a different route home tonight, if you use this. There's a car on it's side in the road, just before the 40 limit, as you leave town - not an easy recovery. Currently, it's single lane passage, via the cops on scene.

BBC saying that it's still partially blocked both ways - it did look like the sort of situation that could involve a lot a blokes sucking through their teeth for a while.

The accident happened on the A5013 Eccleshall Road in Great Bridgeford at 1.45pm today and involved a white Renault van and a DAF concrete mixer.

West Midlands Ambulance service sent one ambulance and one community first responder to the scene. Nobody involved was seriously injured. The lorry driver was treated at the scene of the crash for neck pain but did not require hospital treatment.

The crash partially blocked the road and caused delays for motorists in both directions but Staffordshire Police expected the vehicles to be recovered before rush hour.

Oddly enough I chose to go home via Doxey & Seighford last night purely for a change. Would probably have been cleared by then anyway.

I thought from the title it should be about a re-arrangement of railway wagons using a small locomotive...
