There are a couple of ordinary rubbish bins, which you can use for poo bags, at Birches Valley by the cafe but none round the Walk For Health Trail or Gruffaloes Child Walk which are the main trails used by dog walkers. Guess some people can't be bothered to carry the bags most of the way round the trails.

I think Birches Valley is Forestry Commission and Marquis Drive is local council but wouldn't be sure who is responsible for what with regards to facilities on the Chase generally

I pick up my dogs deposits, I have lovely scented green biodegradable bags. But i do have a genuine question; if I do throw my dogs biodegradable bag in to a discreet location under some shrubbery, how long does it take to biodegrade? I don't do this, I carry it however far to the bin, I was just wondering.

I think the reason people pick up the poo and then sling it is 2 fold. In a little bag no child/adult will tread in it so they feel as if theya re doing the right thing, but they can't be arsed to carry this little package til they find the next bin, even should that be just a mere 5 or 10 yards.

Have to give credit to the council up the Eccy Road end who have multiplied the number of bins somewhat thus helping my poo bag bin search!!

When we lived down Lovatt Street there a was a delightful older lady who would always place her dogs business in poo bags.....and then chuck it in the planters down the center of the street.

When autumn came and the bushes lost their leaves it was like looking at the worst Christmad tree ever.
