Anyone know what happened on the Cannock Road yesterday afternoon? Whatever it was, the 'incident' northbound and delays between Overhill Road and Weeping Cross island made it onto the teletext on telly and was due to be cleared about an hour later. (There's usually queues there , so for it to be especially mentioned I hope it's nothing too bad that occured)

Spouting nonsense since the day I learned to talk
There are three way traffic lights at the junction of Tilcon Avenue and Baswich Lane. I waited there for 10 minutes on Saturday morning and ended up turning round because traffic was not moving.
The queue was stretching from the temporary lights all the way down Radford Bank when I came back home from town about 8.45 this morning.

I'll let them off then. Was hoping it was going to be a nice quiet start to the year as some people have a few extra days off in early Jan.
I'll give the water people some credit, they know when the pipes are clapped out, one was leaking a little on my road.
If it was planned work it would have been nice to have started it after the cycle/pedestrian bridge is finished, at least there's an alternative then if you're local.
I did notice the Tixall Road being dug up again earlier :/
