I went once with a group of people and homepride is a good description. Plain and bland. If people think that's authentic Indian they need to get out a bit.

With lots of more authentic Asian restaurants I see no reason to go. I would actually like to know how many "Indian restaurants " in Stafford are actually Indian ? 75 % are actually Bangladeshi .
In the days of the Empire, "India" went all the way from what is now the Afghan/Pakistan border to the Eastern border of Burma.

I suspect that most people from what is now known as India consider themselves to be Assamese, Gujarati, or whatever...

If we start calling them "Asian", that would also then include the Chinese, unless we call them "South Asian"..
