Indian food in Stafford

BBC

You knows it
Went to Karma II on Bailey Street (next to the cinema) with my Grand National winnings last night. First time (does anyone know how long it has been open?) and was very impressed.

As anyone who knows me will testify, I am very fussy about my Biryani and the one served up to me not only looked amazing but tasted delicious! The service was also spot on - very attentive but not too overbearing.

Prices were also reasonable and they do midweek specials of 3 courses for £10 or 4 for £12 which seems like a bargain. The restaurant is nice and spacious too and they do a good pint of Cobra. The other 3 diners I was with were also impressed.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant to Indian food lovers. Five stars

Never tried it, been past loads just never gave it a go. May now though, ta for the review. I assume they are fully licensed then?

Tried spice island, it was good but not great TBH. Everything still gets measured against Malabar, although not been there lately.

Spice Island is the best, just tell them what you like and they'll cook you a personalised curry!
I'm yet to find a balti house that won't do this!

I was there Saturday night... It was a bit noisy - I think someone was having a birthday party and the place was packed, but then it's Saturday night so what do you expect?

keep looking..........
It is actively encouraged - I was just asking what stuff was, had to be really assertive as I just wanted to order something off the menu!

A few posts under my belt
I'm surprised that there hasn't been more reviews of Karma II. I've been three times now and every time have received excellent service and food.

Perhaps it's the lack of delivery take-away that lets them down in the popularity stakes.

Ps. The best take-away in town has got to be Nishads.
