EHIC spam.

I've just had an email "reminding" me that my European Health Insurance Card expires in 2015, which it doesn't, and directing me to a site that will charge me to process my renewal - which is, of course, free, if you use the direct site - http://www.nhs.uk/NHSEngland/Healthcareabroad/EHIC/Pages/about-the-ehic.aspx .

Not a bad scam, there's a one-in-ten chance that any card will expire in any year - not actually illegal, either, I presume - and people are getting more and more used to just paying for things that they don't really need to....

Thinking about it, I believe that they expire after only five years, making the likelihood of a correct guess one-in-five.....

.. and many people might be booking holidays around this time of year..
