Has anyone else noticed thatwoman who seems to spend all day walkin from Gt Bridgeford or Norton Bridge to Stafford and back? Must do about 100 miles a week.
Yes, she's been doing that for many years. There is a bloke that I see separately quite a lot, too - but nowhere near as often as her.

Yea, my sister knows her, offered her a lift ages ago, she declined, saying she loves to walk.

Think the biggest weirdo, I ever saw was David Dix! newsletter article still on web from 6th May 2004, used to be same in town, cannot believe someone of 58 could be so immature, must have been the last time I saw him late April/early May '04, wonder where he is now?

I've had many an encounter with Mr Dix, but as you say, he's been away from the limelight for some time now. I remember him been given a council house back in the day but decided that he preferred living it rough under cardboard behind Booklands so lost it as a consequence. He was not in the least bit disappointed.

Mad dave as he was known by my friends! Got plenty of stories about him. Best one for me was i was walking behind him towards the toilets in witherspoons and two massive blokes came out and as dave passed them in the corridor he said loudly "coupla farkin' queers" and just carried on. The two blokes looked at each other and pissed themselves laughing as did i. Turns out they knew of him and found it really funny, lucky for him.
