Laying Slabs Easy?

Hey guys,

I'm trying to get my garden sorted for my little one ready for the summer, by fencing off the grass from our dogs and laying down slabs to keep things nice a tidy. Being as im rubbish at anything not related to personal computers.
how easy is it to prep and lay garden slabs? I need to put down around 80 with a slight slope which will be hosed down each day.

Last thing you want with a small child is badly laid slabs, as they will take every opportunity to trip and hurt themselves over your bodging.
