Improving Stafford's Google Map

If anyone from this thread is still around, and has more patience than I do, I just noticed that the Isobel Trail isn't on Google maps.

I tried to add it but it gets in a hissy fit when I cross roads and tells me I can't do it, but I don't know how to add a bridge / underpass etc.....

Has anyone else got the time / skill to do this? @Crimsonfox ?

It is actually there but is part of "National Route NCN 5" as it's part of National Cycle Route 5 and it's a massive route. I think we might be able to add the name to different segments but I can look into it.

So it is..... which is weird because when I was asking for a walking route from the top of Sandon Road, where it meets Beaconside, down to Bristol Street Motors area.... it was taking me down Sandon Road and not down NCN5.... anyway it seems to be working now....

Cheers

Ah, I reckon that'd be because it only treats the Stone road and Aston Terrace intersections as underpasses when there's actually a connection there. I can add that in and see how that works when it's been approved.

After a bit of a fight with the Isabel Trail after it wouldn't let me do any work to it, another mapper helped me out with it and I've recreated the trail from common road that crosses Isabel to Aston Terrace/Field Place.

I also noticed there was no connecting trail from Field Place to Astonfields Road so I've added that in as well which helps it work out walking routes.
