As the title states Now the nights are drawing out we like to take the dog out for a walk then call in for a few beers and a meal .

The Boat in Gnosall is dog friendly, nice walk down the canal followed by traditional pub food.

Apparently the junction has new managers? My OH was there yesterday, said the food has improved. They originally tried the navigation in Gnosall but they no longer sell food and were dead, temporary management installed as punch taverns got too greedy so the last lot quit.

First outing with Eric the dog (see avatar) Ended up in the Market Vaults
Good choice of ales and burgers not sure about the salty fries though I prefer real chips

All in all though not bad

Was at Norbury Junction on Saturday, they really are very dog friendly there. Would recommend it.

Dogs are more than welcome outside the Moat House! We serve bar food on the benches too, although you will have some competition from the ducks and swans :)

In town? Not been in since the smoking ban really, cos it always stank of piss! Would like to think they've fixed that by now?

Dogs shouldn't be allowed where food is being served and I have two dogs!
As long as they havent been involved in the meal preparation then I dont see the problem.

Anyway, in my exprience there is usually a "dog area" and a "dog free" zone once inside these dog friendly pubs.....or maybe I'm wrong?

I always used to think the same about smokers, took years to get that one sorted! I have no issues with dogs in a pub as long as they are well behaved, just like my feelings towards children really.
