Just to add to that, make sure you fully update it BEFORE shutting down. The latest update should be fine, but if it is shut down with the previous bad one installed then you aren't likely to be booting back up in a hurry.
At least that's how I've read it. ?

We had Panda thrown in free for a year as part of our package when we first got our laptop. Caused so many problems, and the laptop wouldn't work with both Panda and Malwarebytes installed together, that we soon got rid . (Sent the first laptop back and got a replacement thinking it was a faulty laptop. Second one arrived and again worked ok until Panda was installed. Realised when that blanked straight out again that it was Panda cocking it up. Worked fine ever since with free MSE . )

Enjoying a drop of red.
There are people who don't use condoms when out dogging on Cannock Chase as well, which I would imagine is just as risky a pastime.

Not that i'm 'picking sides' but for the last two years or so i have had MSE running and have run monthly scans with AMB and have never in that time had anything that had to be dealt with.

TBF my 'surfing' habits are as boring as it is possible for them to be - and i'm as cautious as it is possible to be. Yay me! I remember when the machine i had before this one had Norton on it - it was probably better to have been Syphilitic.

I'll still keep the old metaphorical rubber on me schlong though.
