Please please please ! Has anyone got a belt sander I can borrow for tomorrow ? I put levelling compound on my kitchen floor and it not turned out as smooth as I hoped . So just need to give it a once over :-D .

Not the right tool for the job and would be suprised if you managed to borrow one for this paticular job, as you just going to wreck someones sander and waste a fair few quid on belts that will be ripped to shreds as soon as you try and sand the floor.

Easiest way is probably gently shaving the high bits back with a sharp wallpaper scraper. You can also trowel more compound over any low areas.

Bit late I know

The ctap I used set Really fast . I could barely smooth if out fast enough , I did manage to scrape off the raised bits before it dryed but it wasn't smooth enough for my liking. I couldn't add more levelling compoud because it set in the tub before I had chance. New floors down and it looks better than it did before at least . Won't be using that horrible stuff again !
