Unusual Maun parallel pliers today - will grip 0-9mm & 9-18mm. One on the drawbacks of parallel jaws is the reduced opening width, so these could be useful one day.

Interesting stuff today - a set of RNIB dominoes for the blind (handy for power cuts) and a stall with a massive choice of toilet seats.

I got myself a jigsaw.

It takes the same batteries as my drill - and, maybe, I could even make a jigsaw with it one day?

Nothing for me today, but quite a lot of interest, not least of which was the sheer number of people that had made the effort!

I wouldn't have been surprised for it to have been empty....

There was a flight-crew helmet, probably a Mk4, I think.

Several multi-packs of fly-papers.

@littleme's cast-iron flip-flops were there again.

Mr Shouty was repeatedly trying to sell "Two strawberries for a pound!" - which I felt was a bit exorbitant.

Again, the attendance was much greater than I would have anticipated, given the earlier weather conditions.

The only item of interest to me was a set of Arcoflam saucepans. Great devices, suitable for hob, oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and, with their easy-to-use detachable handles, microwave.

A bit drier today, but not much bigger than last week - a lot of wooden Venetian blinds about, I noticed.

All I got was some LEDs - a 20W twin spot for a quid...

...bloody bright, you have have just noticed me testing it...

...and three 6W GU10s for 50p each. Bargain!

Went for the first time in a while today. I got a load of LED strips for a fiver. Probably from the same chap.

30 strips in all ranging from about 150mm up to a couple of meters. They all have wires already connected as well so not even got any awkward soldering to do.

Saw the reels but I'll probably use them for lighting the interior of my van so lots of short strips will be ideal. I'm going to have to check the rules on lighting the underside of vehicles as well.

That's actually not a bad idea. Just been testing them off a 9v battery and they still work quite well. Would be easy to make a head band with battery pack.

Could take it even further and make illuminated tools or workwear.

There has been research into illuminated clothing for use by the emergency services, I saw a prototype for firemen that lit up bright white but could also turn red or blue to indicate a problem for example. And of course Philips lumilive first debuted years ago but never took off.

I got some shears, four dogs and a bed - and I managed to get them home all on my own.

Have the noisey lot started arriving even earlier? They had me awake at 5.30am this morning :(
Mr Shouty was certainly on form today.

"Come on, we've got lovely strawberries today!"

What sort of strawberries do you normally have?
