Stafford UPVC Windows

I do not recommend that anyone uses this company to carry out work on any of your premises. The sub contractors they sent to my house to do electrical work damaged my consumer unit. Having contacted Stafford UPVC numerous times since it happened in July they have not repaired the item, promised to get back in touch after repetitive phone calls and they or their sub conractors show no intention of solving the problem and have appalling customer service.

Under what circumstances would a glazing company come into contact with your consumer unit?

I suspect one such situation would be if they were building a conservatory and the were delivering the whole 'package'. I.E. putting plugs in there.

I could be wrong and I often am but I am imaging the sub-contractor that they used was probably an electrician. It's obviously guesswork as the OP hasn't been back to explain further.

Unless there's any supporting evidence then it's best to ignore this. A first and only post being a complaint about a business is as suspicious as first and only post offering gushing support for a business in my book.

This post is genuine and Stafford UPVC sub contract all there electrical work and the company they used was T&T World in Willenhall and were used to replace lights in a conservatory and did provide certification but in doing the work snapped off the cover of my consumer unit.

So, your gripe is with T&T World, not Stafford UPVC.

No I simply said that on the basis of one post, which contained absolutely no details, it should be treated with caution.

No you have added some details :)

Have T&T and Stafford UPVC both refused to replace the cover of your consumer unit and if so on what grounds?

This damage occured in July and was told by T&T World that they would repair it and after informing Stafford UPVC after the damage was caused have since repeatedly said after phoning they would get Mr Alcock to phone me which he has consistently failed to do. I have given both T&T World and Stafford UPVC sufficient time, 3 months, to fix it which they failed to do so. That was the reason for my original post to warn about Stafford UPVC and their appalling customer service.

Yes it is a clear plastic cover over my breaker switches that they broke off at the hinges. T&T World said that they would look for a replacement because of its age they would not be able to purchase a new one as my consumer unit is no longer available. They took away my broken cover and have not heard from them since July. I have been in constant contact with Stafford UPVC who have told me that they willpass it on and get them to call me and they have failed to do so on numerous occasions. My contract was with Stafford UPVC so they have the legal responsibility to put the matter right but their customer service and failure to return my calls I think says it all.

I think this thread is quite a good recommendation for Stafford UPVC.

If you're prepared to make a big issue about something as trivial as a breaker cover, then presumably the rest of the work was of good quality. No?

BTW here's the place to introduce yourself. http://www.staffordforum.com/xf/ind...s-please-introduce-yourself-here.9356/page-37
