Carole Do you know where Bednall is?

S

Yes, I know the owners of Moors Covert farm as they live just round the corner from me.

However, I dont need pumpkins, I need the little squash.

I havent got time to grow any...I need them now in all shapes and sizes and colours.

I want to find a stall like this one that I came across in the States last year.

They had them in the local/seasonal produce section of the Wildwood Coop about this time last year - haven't been in for a few days so don't know if they have them now but might be worth phoning to ask.

Failing that, Canalside at Great Haywood might have them?

Essington and I've been reliably informed Lidl apparently.
Squashes in Lidl tonight - the small round ones, in various colours @ £1.29 - about 5 to 6 inches in diameter. Their term is "Seasonal Squash".

Still a good few* at 19.45 on a Saturday, so there should still be some left tomorrow.

* 15 to 20.

This seems quite 'time sensitive' - are we working to an active deadline?

This time last year we spent 3 weeks in New England for the fall. We hired a jeep and drove round and had a thoroughly marvellous time.

They really celebrate Autumn/Halloween in a big way and from October 1st onwards lots of people decorate the outside of their house with crysanthemums, pumpkins, squashes and lots of wonderful Autumn coloured things.

It all looked so wonderful so I said "next year I am going to do that outside our house".

And here we are.
