Charles Chipperfield Circus will be at the Common in Stone Road from Tuesday 12/10/15 until Monday 19/10/15....

Showtimes are....

Weekdays 5pm & 7.30pm
Saturday 2pm & 5pm
Sunday 2pm & 4pm

Hate clowns too, the last time I seen a real one I was a child and at the circus at the common I had nightmares for days apparently. I think they're more suited to Halloween

I was in town a few yrs ago with 1 of my sisters, we were passing through Market Square. There were adverts for the fair up the common all over the place. She kept distracting me, talking to me, didn't pause for breath. As we were going along I bumped into someone, turned round to say sorry and it was a clown. I think my screams could be heard as far away as Stone. Our kid had seen him and tried her hardest to stop me clocking him. It's as if he knew I hated the things.

My dad took me and my brother to the circus at the common when I was 3. I remember it very clearly. I was terrified of the clowns - they came right up to us and I screamed blue murder. my mum can't understand it ... she loves them and collects the hideous things.
