Changes at the Guildhall.

Spouting nonsense since the day I learned to talk
More than 10 people is too crowded for me these days. I start to panic then have to go home.
Sorry to hear that. My post was meant to be in jest and no offence was meant to you.

For some silly reason I thought that the I-motion gym was going to be 24hrs (and I wasn't getting confused with Pure or the one going next to Home Bargains) ...had a flyer through the door today and it turns out its opening hours are;

Mon-Fri 6am-10pm
Weekends 8am-8pm

I don't suppose this is going to do much for trade.

http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/midlands-news/jobs-boost-giant-designer-outlet-10513030

"The West Midlands is set to get a giant designer outlet village – bringing 1,200 jobs with it.

Developers hope exclusive retailers will flock to Cannock after proposals for a huge chunk of land were given the green light."
I suspect that the artist that created this impression may never have been to Cannock - and what is the woman in the centre of the picture carrying on her back?

That development has never got off the ground in cannock being touted for years. In fact was discussed heavily on here 2-3 years ago.

The Designer Outlet in Cannock has been approved and it is expected to be completed by 2017 / 2018.

I own a property close to this area and i believe it will be worth more following the completion of this development. However, id rather this development wasn't approved. This outlet should be located next to Sainsburys and the attractive area of greenspace should be left alone.

Not quite. @markpa12003

It has been given the green light by Cannock Chase District Council Planning Committee but it still has to be approved by The Secretary of Sate for Communities and Local Government.

@Mikinton posted a link....see post 244.

I will miss Marks when it moves out of Gaolgate Street. I find Parking in The Madford Car Park and walking down to Marks for some Food very convenient. That end of Town is the only easy entrance into Gaolgate and Greengate. I get the impression the new Multi Storey on Riverside will be difficult, involving Queues, Barriers, Paying!

An NHS walk in clinic would be useful in one of the empty Guildhall units. You can't get more central than that and easy to get to if relying on public transport or shanksies pony. Telford has one, so why not Stafford.

Marks and Spencers would be idea for a walk in medical center - the one in black pool is spacious , lots of seating areas for separate injuries. walk in service for acute accident treatment - injury clinic and GP surgeries all in one place.

When i want there for a cracked bones they ex rayed me - patched me up and sent me off with a support walking boot allowing me to enjoy the rest of my day despite my fall being a shock i was happy that they sorted it out for me skillfully and promptly.

It would make the county hospital redundant or it could go back to having wards and patients treated once they have been assessed at the clinic. AND hopefully we could have some excellent staff to manage it.
