I may still be considered bias with regards to this establishment. Regardless, here are some nice words.
Wasn't quite hungry enough for a full burger with all the fries on Saturday evening, so opted for a sandwich instead. Had the Chicken & Chorizo sandwich, which has mozzarella and aioli on a ciabatta.
I'm not a big fan of chorizo, I usually find it to be far too greasy and fatty (it's possible I've only ever had cheap, low quality stuff) but the slices on this sandwich were lovely, not greasy at all. Everything went together brilliantly with the sauce and the cheese.
One thing I rave about is the side-salads. I now realise I've never had a decent side-salad before. They're always bland, tasteless and limp. But the Vaults salads are delicious. Fresh and light and full of taste and colour. I always avoid vinaigrettes as they are generally far too vinegary for my palette and make the salad limp and wet. But whatever they do at the Vaults, the vinaigrette is light and tasty and they don't DROWN everything in it.
The side-salads I've had recently make me wish I'd tried the salads when they were on the menu, and I hope they make a comeback in the summer or somewhere down the line.
