Chris's fish bar

What has happened to this place? Every time we visit it seems to be getting worse and worse. Today we visited at lunch bar, my hubby asked for wings and chips, came home and the chicken tasted ikd and reheated and the chips dry and like cardboard. He went back to complain but they didn't care. It was similar about 6 months ago when we last visited and the portions smaller. The prices seem to have hiked too. I think we will stick to traveling further afield and popping to Highfield's.

I've never had a bad chip from Chris's, and never had a good one from the one at West Way. And the prices have gone up 10p in the last 2 years.

Chris' has gone seriously downhill over the past couple of years. I like Highfield's myself especially if you time it right and the chips are nice and fresh.

I never had a bad meal from Chris' fish bar. For me, they are the best chippy in Stafford and I've tried a few.

I used to use Chris' fish bar a lot at one time but defo think it's gone downhill now that Chris is not as hands on as he used to be.
All the boys seem to want to do is chat up female customers and talk utter b*ll*cks about cars. 150 down the 449 to Penkridge type stuff.

I've tried all the chip shops in Stafford to see if anything compares to the fish and chips in Leeds however none do but high fields is definitely the best chipped around here.

There used to be a really decent chip shop in Grimsby, but the best one had to be the one with coal fired fryers in Wainfleet, cos it was within walking distance of Bateman's Brewery

Was in Chris's at lunch time, shop had been invaded by pupils from local school. While I waited some of the said pupils provided entertainment in the form of Hoverboard riding. I can confirm that eating chips whilst riding hoverboards is not recommended.

The current Mrlittleme loves battered chips, I'm not a fan of batter or chips though! I'm getting better with liking chips though, must be an age thing....

Has he pre-booked the bypass operation at North Staffs, cos using A&E will be sod-all use?
