Its not a morrisons, it is a morrisons and option 3 its a morrisons at the min but we are reviewing plans ( which could mean anything I.e plans for shopfloor layout, planned opening date, not opening). Option 4 developer states keys will be handed over in April.
Ah the delights of liaising with a contact centre/ cst services speaking with 3 different people and getting 3 different answer in the space of 5 hours. Where on earth are they going for information on their own proposed store. One reason I don't shop at morrisons- ridiculous and incompetent.
If we don't really know we'll sit on the fence or make it up.

I ♥ cryptic crosswords
It's a very expensive piece of real estate. More expensive than a shed load of aluminum but a different color and with not much of a sidewalk it could become the fanny pack center of the state of Stafford sheer

THE future of Stafford's new Morrisons store is in limbo as the firm reviews its stores following several closures.

The Newsletter was told by the firm last September that the supermarket, being created at the Kingsmead car park, was "well underway" and was set to be completed by the end of the year.

We contacted Morrisons again in December asking for an update, but the company was unable to provide an opening date.

Now a spokesman has said: "We are in the process of reviewing our new store offer and also waiting for the contractor to finish building the store. As a result we don't yet have a launch date for the Stafford store at this stage."

The statement comes as the firm announced plans to close another seven loss-making stores last week – including one in its home city of Bradford. It follows the closure of 21 stores last year.

LXB signed an agreement with Morrisons to take a 25 year lease for the foodstore, which would be more than 71,000 sq ft, and 460 car parking spaces. The redevelopment would also include 14,000 sq ft for other retail.

I wonder how much it would cost them to back out of the deal ?

All these rumours flying around about it being a Morrisons, not being a Morrisons. I wonder how long before these get a mention.

Waitrose will not be in Stafford.

Misleading news item again. Morrisons were never to be open in 2015 in fact for over a year the developer has stated 2016.

We have known for sometime the date of handover is/ was March 2016. That won't happen as the only thing due in 2015 is the multistorey which is now 2 months overdue. As north walls cannot be closed until this is open it means it is at least 2months over due for handover so morrisons hardly have an open date until they know when then developer cam start their bloody car park
