Hi!

Does anyone have a BT youview TV box they don't use please. I can pick up anytime !

I do have an Talktalk youview TV box or an old Sky Box if you want to swap.

Thanks in advance :)

Why on earth would someone want to swap a talktalk (huawei) version for a BT (humax) version? - Although if someone has a couple going spare I'd love one as well please ;)

I have just switched my TV package from talktalk to BT, I would pay for one,
but someone might be on the talktalk package so they can use the box in another room.

Unless I'm missing something, the boxes are basically Freeview recorder boxes. You can use them regardless with any internet service and not just the one that provides it. I'm a virgin media customer and have been using a talktalk youview box for almost 2 years.

Not sure the talktalk ones have hard drives in them do they?

I've had a Humax youview (not provider branded) for a couple of years, never had any problems.

The majority do, yes. Perfectly useable boxes, record 2 channels at once just like the humax ones etc etc. The main difference is in processing power and that's why i expect Trevor really wants a humax one instead ;)
