Sunday - a day to improve your local environment

This SUnday (21 October) there are two, count them - 2, chances to get out and make the world a better place, or at least Stafford anway.

First off there is a morning of environmental work going on at Kingston Pool Covert (south) Local Nature Reserve. That's the one out on the Weston Rd. just before you get to the University/ Beaconside roundabout - the woodland that goes from Weston Rd. through to Tixal Rd. The guys will be pulling up sycamore sapplings that are growing as weeds all over the place and also clearing out the litter again.

Second is the regular Stafford Cycle Route Volunteers work party which will be taking place along the Greenway from Stafford out to Derrington. Meet at the double gates.

Both events start at 10am. Come along to both, either send your kids to one and come along to the other, give what time you can but please wear suitable clothing and footwear. Tools will be available but feel free to bring anything that might be helpful. The weather is set fair so it should be a great chance for everyone to get out and work off the night before's hangover.

Cheers
