Long weekend

What are your plans for the long weekend ? Are you going to capitalise on the extended break.

I have a few chorses to do around the house; namely pulling, routing and rebating an ariel to a new socket which needs creating. This should take a few hours and then I hope to be free to enjoy myself.

In years gone by I would have spent most of a bank holiday weekend frequenting various pubs. With a family now I will probably visit a safari park.

What are your plans ?

Tomorrow I am going shopping as per usual, Sunday probably visiting some friends in Leicester and have lunch with them. As for Monday depending on the weather I might move some pots around in my garden and get him to to jet clean the conservatory roof and then probably go to our local for a drink. My kids do their own thing now so our days of wacky warehouses with plastic cups and watching the monkeys perform at the local zoo are long gone. :)

Years ago we used to visit Paignton Zoo and there used to be a section where you could walk through the marmoset section. We had been advised not to take food into that section but my dear son decided to take a packet of crisps ... big mistake! a little ginger marmoset swung down grabbed the crisps and then sat on the fence eating them.. my son was not amused but we were. :)

proactive

Enjoying a drop of red.
In no particular order, due to uncertain climatic conditions but eating out, drinking, walking dog and Jr on the Chase, riding motorbike, helping Mrs in shop, gardening, investigating rattle in Mrs car that dealership claim doesn't exist, watching F1, popping over to Curborough for the vintage sports car sprint, watching snooker, drinking and drinking.

Just as well I've extended my weekend to include today and Tuesday in order to fit it all in.

I am on a tour of the North, moving furniture from A to B, and going off to the football in the middle.. Doncaster, Middlesborough, Doncaster, Manchester, Doncaster in that order. I didn't appreciate it was Tour de Yorkshire though, and we are in the wrong places on the wrong days.

Few hours having my hair coloured tomorrow morning (dread the hairdressers nearly as much as the dentist ...just don't know how people find it relaxing) , then back home to be on my own yet again doing housework , gardening or having a walk. Hubby's just announced he's going to the footie, so that's my plans for a nice Saturday afternoon and evening out together scuppered :(

Trying to squeeze far too much into the suitcases yet again.

Would have gone down to Worcester to see son but , as well as his usual partying, he's busy working all weekend .

Hopefully get to go to the pub with hubby for a few drinks on Sunday evening.....

Nowadays it all blurs into one long weekend, so as usual I shall be car booting,
surfing the www, tidy the garden weather permiting, build a new unit for the
camper van, take new dog over the chase, take photos, and anything else I fancy, add infinitum.

Two potential boots, of course.

And photos of the new dog?

Husband has to work the complete Bank holiday, so no doubt I will spend a fair amount of time moping about and feeling sad & lonely, and the rest of the time looking for something cheap & cheerful to do with minime.

BUT Next Wednesday is a different matter - I will be taking minime for a gliding lesson at Seighford - how exciting (terrifying) is that?!

I'm not going in it!!!! You'd have more chance of platting fog...

I went in a very small (about 8 seats, I think) plane from Amsterdam to Germany once, it was very bumpy & very scary.

I shall be the one throwing up behind the car as she takes to the skies....
