The Large Litten Tree - A New Revolution

Very impressed with the new Revolution Bar. The refurbishment looks very good and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and range of drinks on offer. I haven't been to a revolution bar since my University days in the early 2000s. During those visits I only remember drinking horrible vodka shots in a dingy building!

A welcome addition to the evening economy.

When the cinema is eventually built, I can foresee something to eaten in there with a refreshing beverage ahead of a movie....

I'm surprised the cinema hasn't been started yet. It does a little odd at the moment with the shopping complex looking nearly complete (externally) but there still being a huge area of vacant land next to it.

I've just been for lunch - I'm pretty impressed!

When we arrived we were told that they don't officially open until the end of the week and to bear with them as they are still training.... but we couldn't fault anything! Waitresses were very friendly and courteous. Nice ambiance to the place. Ample portions and the food was lovely. The prices are on the highish side (£8.95 for a club sandwich and chips) - but we were pleasantly surprised to find out it's 50% off on a Monday too! Or you can pay £3 for a Revolution card which gets you 25% food all week. I think I've found a nice alternative meeting place for me and the good lady to meet up for lunch.

The vodkas and cocktails sound mouth watering too - shame it was back to work for me. :(

People were sitting outside in the sunshine - I think once the shopping centre is complete and there's extra footfall it'll be quite a popular place.

EDIT:- forgot to mention for those busy work type who only get an hours lunch like me, they do a 15 minute guarantee - and if they don't stick to it, lunch is on them!

Friday's visit was great, tried to visit yesterday evening for food and a drunk group of men had just had a brawl outside. Police had been called and appears the place was shut down for the remainder of the day. Not a great start really... I can see them having door staff all weekend and losing the outdoor seating.

They had door staff working when I visited on Saturday lunchtime. I have no issues with seeing doormen on any venue.

We were in there on Saturday evening for cocktails and it was really nice. Decided to go on Sunday evening for food, but were told by the girl at front of house that there were rowdy groups of Sunday drinkers in, that they were running out of food, and drinks were taking half an hour! A bloke holding his drunk mate up bumped into us and looked like he was about to throw up.

We headed to the Crafty Sow instead, but they had football on, so ended up having a lovely curry at Narvana!

I really hope that this place doesn't attract the lowlifes, I think they're going to need doormen on Sundays all day unfortunately.
